Single ply membranes are systems for flat roofing and can be mechanically fastened, fully adhered or ballasted. They are also now commonly used as the weathering layer for green roofs.
Single ply membranes are particularly suited to refurbishment projects because they are an ideal material for overlaying existing defective flat roof surfaces, including bituminous felt and asphalt. PVC single ply membranes are vapour permeable so enabling trapped moisture in the existing overlaid roof to dry out overtime.
