Single ply membrane system & solar panel installation to our client in Exeter Devon

We were successfully appointed by an Exeter based technology company to provide a solution for their failing flat asphalt roof areas and their forward-looking approach meant that they realised the potential their roof space had as a potential source of revenue stream and energy cost savings.

We overlaid the existing asphalt roof with 130mm thick insulation boards and a hot air welded PVC single ply membrane system providing our client with an insurance backed guarantee. A ballasted solar PV system was then installed to avoid penetrations through the new roof membrane and the system was fully signed off with MCS certification. The complete project was meticulously managed from inception to completion by our experienced contract management team.

Other benefits to our client included: A single point of contact and CDM compliance for the complete roof and solar project. Scaffolding, lifting and hoisting plant was utilised efficiently for both roof and solar PV installations saving thousands of pounds. The roof guarantee is preserved which may not have been possible should other contractors have installed the Solar PV.
